"Sweet Entanglement"

This piece explores a twill weave, an interlacing formation known for its structural strength. The pattern creates a clear, almost architectural rhythm, yet it is softened by a pastel palette that introduces tenderness and lightness.

Composed from a series of failed gradient paintings, the strips were cut and reimagined into a unified whole. Colours that once felt unresolved now twist and tangle together, forming bonds that are stronger because of their imperfect origins.

“Sweet Entanglement” lives at the intersection of failure and refinement. The sweetness of the surface does not erase its history. It holds it. The work is a quiet reminder that resilience, like beauty, is often woven from what once seemed unsuccessful.
